Job summary

Just Eat Takeaway.com in Amsterdam is seeking an enthusiastic Data Engineer to join our Partner and Sales data team. You will design scalable ETL/ELT pipelines on GCP, build robust data pipelines, and scale measurement datasets into actionable insights for ML and analytical use cases.

This hybrid role requires 3 days in the Amsterdam office and 2 days working from home. You will use Airflow, dbt, SQL and Python, collaborate with analysts and data scientists, and help ensure data quality and

Qualifications

• Experience in data engineering or similar roles with production-grade pipelines.
• Strong SQL and data modelling skills, paired with Python for workflows.
• Hands-on experience with Airflow and dbt, and Git with CI/CD.
• Knowledge of at least one cloud platform (GCP, AWS or Azure).
• Familiarity with AI/LLM-powered tooling and data foundations for AI/ML use cases.
• Collaborative, solutions-oriented mindset with strong communication and data reliability.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines and a semantic layer on GCP, leveraging Airflow and dbt.
• Design and implement dimensional data models (star and snowflake) for analysis and reporting.
• Build AI-ready data pipelines and feature datasets for ML/analytical use cases.
• Leverage SQL and Python to transform, optimize, and analyze large datasets across partner and sales domains.
• Ensure data quality, reliability, and performance within DQ frameworks, SLAs, and alerting systems.
• Collaborate with analysts, data scientists, and stakeholders to translate requirements into data solutions.
