Job summary

DHL Supply Chain is seeking a Data Engineer for Campus Weert to turn data into actionable insights and support decision-making. You will own data and reporting topics from analysis to implementation, collaborating with teams at DHL locations.

The role uses Power BI, SQL, Python and Power Automate, offering a 32–40 hour work week and a competitive salary with growth potential, plus a range of benefits. This on-site position is based in Weert and focused on data-driven logistics.

Qualifications

Job description

As a Data Engineer, you turn data into insights that support operational and strategic decision-making. You build dashboards, automate reporting, connect and optimize data sources and develop solutions that help our teams work smarter and more efficiently.

You will have the freedom to identify improvement opportunities, take ownership from analysis through implementation and work with a broad technology stack including Power BI, SQL, Python and Power Automate. Your solutions have a direct and visible impact on how we use data and reporting within DHL Supply Chain.

What can you expect from DHL?

• A position for 32 to 40 hours per week in day shift at Campus Weert
• A competitive starting salary between €3,648.57 and €4,689.12 gross per month, with growth opportunities within the salary scale up to €5,727.27 gross per month, depending on your knowledge and experience

What will you do?

As a Data Engineer, you are part of the Engineering & Reporting team at Campus Weert. You work closely with colleagues from different disciplines and regularly collaborate with teams at other DHL locations.

You take ownership of data and reporting topics from start to finish. You identify bottlenecks, translate business needs into technical solutions and help further improve our reporting and data capabilities.

Your responsibilities include:

• Building and maintaining dashboards in Power BI and translating complex data into clear and actionable insights
• Automating recurring reports and reporting processes using Power Automate
• Developing and maintaining standardised reporting templates
• Using Python, VBA and/or R for data manipulation, automation and efficient data scripting
• Using advanced SQL to query, manage and connect different data sources
• Supporting and improving data integrations and workflows
• Managing and optimising data sources and reporting processes
• Identifying bottlenecks and proactively developing improvement solutions
• Taking ownership of projects from analysis through implementation
• Working closely with operational teams and other stakeholders to ensure solutions work effectively in practice
• In this role, you combine technical expertise with business impact. You do not simply produce reports: you help improve how DHL Supply Chain uses data to make decisions and run its operations.

• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Experience with Office 365, Visio, front- and back-end concepts.
• Affinity with warehousing operations and a basic understanding of key warehousing processes, such as inbound, storage, picking, packing and outbound.
