Job summary

Colt Data Centre Services is seeking a Site Operations Manager to oversee day-to-day operations of a live data centre in the Netherlands. You will manage M&E maintenance providers and security contractors, ensure safety and operational excellence, and engage with customers to support their technical requirements.

The role requires strong leadership of a skilled operations team, a deep understanding of electrical, mechanical, life safety and security systems, and a commitment to Colt DCS

Qualifications

• Technical qualification in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent professional experience).
• Proven experience as Technician or Technical Supervisor in a Data Centre or critical infrastructure environment.
• Strong track record of managing specialist contractors in data centre or critical infrastructure environments.
• Sound understanding of electrical, mechanical, life safety, and security systems; PTW and safe systems of work knowledge.
• Experience with ITIL-based processes in data centres, especially Incident/Change/Problem Management.
• Fluent in Dutch and English with excellent communication; valid full driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operations of a live data centre facility.
• Manage on-site M&E maintenance providers and security contractors.
• Ensure compliance with Colt DCS standards, policies and procedures.
• Engage with customers and support operational inquiries; coordinate planned activities.
• Promote safety, operational excellence and continuous improvement across the facility.
• Lead a diverse on-site operations team and contractors to deliver reliable service.
