Job summary

CBRE Group, Inc. is seeking a Data Center Technician to perform preventative maintenance and corrective repairs within a Data Center operation. The role is part of the Critical and Technical Services function, responsible for technical maintenance in critical client environments.

The technician will inspect mechanical and engineering systems, respond to BMS alarms, work with third-party vendors, and ensure safety and regulatory compliance while maintaining accurate maintenance records.

Qualifications

• Apprenticeship or equivalent training in a technical discipline, with 1–2 years of related experience.
• Ability to work shifts, including weekends and holidays.
• Strong communication and numeric skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on mechanical and electrical systems.
• Respond to BMS alarms and complete emergency repairs as needed.
• Coordinate with third-party vendors and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Take meter readings from UPS, PDU and utilities during site walks.
• Document maintenance activities and complete quality checks.
• Follow safety procedures and complete required training.
