Job summary

CBRE Group, Inc. is seeking a Data Center Technician to perform preventative maintenance and corrective repairs within a Data Center operation, ensuring safe environmental conditions and reliable utilities.

You will inspect mechanical and engineering systems, respond to Building Management System alarms, and coordinate with third-party vendors to uphold standards and compliance. The role involves routine quality checks and documenting maintenance activities.

Qualifications

• Apprenticeship or equivalent in a technical discipline with 1–2 years of job-related experience.
• Ability to work shifts that may include weekends and holidays.
• Good presentation skills for internal teams and clients.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Strong organizational skills and basic math abilities.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and reactive maintenance on data center equipment.
• Assist with daily site inspections of Mechanical & Engineering systems and equipment.
• Respond to Building Management System alarms and complete emergency repairs as needed.
• Coordinate with third‑party vendors and ensure compliance with processes and regulations.
• Take meter readings from UPS, PDU, and utilities and log maintenance actions.
• Complete assigned work following established procedures and maintain accurate records.
