Job summary

NovoServe in Amsterdam is seeking a Data Center Engineer to build, install and deliver bare‑metal servers. You will manage racks, cabling and fiber, ensuring reliable operation across our data centers.

You will troubleshoot tickets, handle customer requests, maintain inventory and installation records, and propose process improvements. Dutch and English communication are essential; Linux basics and a valid category B driver’s license are required.

Qualifications

• Hands-on professional with experience assembling and configuring servers from scratch.
• Solid knowledge of servers, operating systems and (network) cabling.
• Willingness to participate in on-call shifts and take responsibility for quality of work.

Responsibilities

• Build, install and deliver NovoServe servers across data centers.
• Interpret tickets and take action; handle requests from customers and colleagues.
• Manage inventory and stock levels; document installations and maintain records.
• Propose improvements to optimize work processes.
