Job summary

ING Nederland's Data & Analytics Engineering team invites you to intern on the Repo Scanner (Repo Radar) platform, helping analyze repositories and generate insights on technology usage, code quality, and dependencies. You will gain hands-on experience with Python, cloud tools, and modern developer workflows.

You will collaborate across teams to integrate scanning workflows, apply GenAI-assisted development tools, build data pipelines, and contribute to dashboards that visualize technology

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of Python programming; experience with Java, Scala, or JavaScript is a plus.
• Familiarity with version control and repositories (Git, GitHub, Azure DevOps).
• Interest in AI/LLM-based systems and agentic approaches.
• Curiosity about modern developer tools like GitHub Copilot or Microsoft Copilot.
• Strong communication and attention to detail.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, international team.

Responsibilities

• Support the development of the Repo Scanner (Repo Radar) platform, focusing on rule-based and intelligent repository scanning.
• Collaborate on integrating scanning workflows into existing platforms (e.g., ADO Pipelines, GitHub Agents, GCP).
• Explore GenAI-assisted development tools to accelerate implementation and productivity.
• Support repository onboarding, including access setup and metadata analysis.
• Develop and maintain data pipelines and staging logic for a scalable code catalog and data storage.
• Assist in designing dashboards and visualizations to present insights on tech usage and security.
