Job summary

Garmin Tacx in the Netherlands is seeking a Manufacturing Mechanical Engineer to ensure manufacturability of new indoor trainers and accessories and to translate concepts into production-ready parts. You will collaborate with design engineers and vendors to deliver assemblies ready for production.

Based in Oegstgeest, you will drive DFMs with suppliers, run RFQs, monitor cost development, and support production-line issue resolution.

Qualifications

A Bachelor or Master degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar.
Expertise or strong affinity with injection molding, sheet metal, machined parts and surface treatments.
Knowledge of designing for manufacturability (DFM), assembly and reliability.
Experience with root cause analysis and tolerance analysis.
Knowledge of 3D and 2D CAD, preferably SolidWorks.
Good communication skills in English and preferably Dutch.

Responsibilities

Develop indoor trainers and accessories in close cooperation with the Design Mechanical Engineers.
Communication with internal & external suppliers about manufacturability of parts and sub-assemblies (DFM).
Engage with manufacturers and ensure part/sub-assembly quality.
Create RFQ according to defined specifications and keep track of costs development.
Support resolving mechanical related issues from the production line.
