Job summary

Lenovo is seeking a Cyber Counsel to join its Legal Department, supporting cybersecurity legal matters across the EMEA region from Amsterdam. You will advise on regulatory requirements, governance, and incident response, working with Security, Product, Government Relations, and Legal teams to embed legal requirements in business processes.

Ideal candidates have a law degree and about 8 years of relevant experience, with strong drafting, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills, plus

Qualifications

• Qualified to practice law in at least one EU/EEA jurisdiction.
• Approx. 8 years of experience in cybersecurity, technology, privacy, regulatory, or commercial law.
• Strong knowledge of cybersecurity regulatory frameworks (NIS2, CRA, DORA) and EU cyber legislation.

Responsibilities

• Advise business, security, product, and legal stakeholders on cybersecurity laws, regulations, and emerging requirements across the EU and global frameworks.
• Provide practical guidance on cybersecurity governance, risk management, and data protection in cross-border contexts.
• Review, draft, and negotiate technology, security, and commercial agreements with suppliers and customers.
• Collaborate with security teams to support compliance programs and internal governance.
• Support privacy and security incident response, investigations, and regulatory reporting obligations.
• Interpret cross-border data transfer, data localization, and government access considerations in contracts and programs.
• Monitor regulatory developments and translate them into actionable guidance for the business.
• Deliver training and materials on cybersecurity legal topics to stakeholders.
