Job summary

Ericsson is seeking a Cyber Security Consultant to join its security specialist team. The role focuses on packet core and cloud security, 3GPP standards, and hands-on deployment of security solutions in collaboration with customers.

The ideal candidate will bring telecom security expertise, experience with 5G core networks, and strong presentation and project-management skills to drive secure deployments and customer conversations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a related field.
• Full professional proficiency in English.
• Significant security experience in telecom and 5G core networks.
• Experience across security domains: telecom security, cloud security, application security.
• Experience designing solutions like logging, identity and access management, security testing.
• Knowledge of 3GPP 5G Release 15/16 is a plus; CISSP/CISA/CCIE/CISM or similar is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Understand packet core security, on-premise cloud infrastructure, Kubernetes security and OSS security per 3GPP/GSMA standards.
• Map customer requirements to Ericsson products and provide best-practice guidance.
• Present security topics clearly with detailed analysis and solutions for customers.
• Lead security deployments with cross-domain collaboration and technical teams.
• Configure and manage security products (firewalls, IDS/IPS, DDoS, SIEM), log collectors and identity management.
• Lead customer discussions and drive security strategies in customer engagements.

What you will do

• Understanding packet core security, on premise cloud infrastructure, Kubernetes security, OSS security as per 3GPP, GSMA standard.
• Map customer requirement with product and solutions available from Ericsson and provide industry best practice approach and guidance.
• Be effective in presentation about security and 3GPP packet core and cloud topics with detailed analysis and solution.
• Should have technical project management skills with collaborating and working with technical teams across the domain & drive the security solution deployment .
• Should have experience in configuring and managing security products such as firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems DDoS, (IDS/IPS), SIEM (Security Information and Event Management) systems, Log Collector and Identity Management solution. DDoS is preferred competency for this position.
• Should have customer facing skills and lead security discussion with customers.

The skills you bring

• A bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience or higher in a related field
• A Full Professional Proficiency in English
• Significant experience in security for the telecom & 5G core network.
• Experience in one of the following domains: Security and Privacy frameworks,, Telecom security, Cyber Security, Cloud Security, Application security.
• Experience in designing at least in one of the following solutions: Logging, PKI Infrastructure, Identity, and access management, Security testing in telecom networks.
• Experience with 3GPP 5G Release 15/16 will be a plus.
• Security certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISA, CCIE, CISM) or knowledge of security frameworks and best practices (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001, CIS) are a plus.
