Job summary

Marel in Boxmeer is seeking a sales professional to drive the sales of Service Business Products. You will independently manage your sales process, visiting customers and identifying opportunities to provide tailored solutions.

The ideal candidate has a technical background and sales experience in complex equipment. Strong organizational skills and customer centricity are essential for success in this role, along with a willingness to travel about 25% of the time.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years' experience in a technical environment, preferably with a manufacturer of capital equipment.
• 2-3 years' experience in sales of services or capital goods.
• Understanding of the food processing industry is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Visiting customers and prospects, identifying sales opportunities.
• Handling the entire sales process independently.
• Cooperating with Service Area Managers and Account Managers.

Job description

Your day-to-day will look a lot like this:

• Visiting customers and prospects, identifying opportunities for sales of Service Business Products and parts, including arranging, preparing, and reporting these visits.
• Independent handling of the entire sales process, including offering solutions matching your customer’s needs.
• Cooperate with Service Area Managers for regional and industrial information, Service Engineers as your eyes at the customer, and Account Managers who sell new equipment.

Since this is a commercial role, performance is measured by the number of visits completed, volume of created opportunities, and hit rate.

In order to be successful in this challenging role, we are looking for the following in your profile:

• Education in a technical area, such as Mechanical, Electrical, or Mechatronics Engineering, or in Business Engineering.
• Minimum 2–3 years’ experience in a technical environment, preferably at a manufacturer of capital equipment.
• Minimum 2–3 years’ experience in sales of services or capital goods.
• Understanding of the food processing industry is an advantage.
• Comfortable speaker in English.
• Independent worker, able to schedule your own tasks and week planning.
• Willing to travel approximately 25% of your time.
