Job summary

Fourstroke, an Amsterdam-based quantitative trading firm, seeks a talented quant trader to join our small, highly technical team. You will work at the intersection of quantitative research and live trading across global crypto markets, turning ideas into production improvements.

You will collaborate with researchers and engineers to analyze data, validate signals, and optimize strategies with a lean team. Amsterdam-based with flexible hybrid work.

Qualifications

• Strong foundations in probability, statistics, time series, and optimization.
• 2+ years in quantitative trading or research.
• Strong Python and large-dataset skills (Databricks).
• Strong trading intuition and knowledge of market microstructure, execution, liquidity, exchange dynamics, and trading-risk.
• Commercially minded with the ability to challenge assumptions.

Responsibilities

• Research and improve systematic market-making and short-horizon strategies.
• Analyze high-frequency data, order books, fills, and execution quality.
• Identify new signals and validate them with robust statistical methods.
• Build backtests and simulations that reflect live market conditions.
• Turn research into production trading logic with our engineers.
• Monitor live strategies and optimize execution, parameters, and risk.
• Support portfolio construction, new markets, and day-to-day trading operations.
