We are working with a global data center provider, designing, building and operating mission-critical facilities for some of the world's largest enterprises and hyperscale cloud companies. With 60+ operational sites across 9 countries and 50+ more in development, they're one of the fastest-growing names in the industry. In the Netherlands, they run one of the country’s largest build-to-suit campuses, with up to 54MW of IT capacity, 100% renewable power and highly resilient power and cooling systems.

They're now looking for a Critical Facilities Technician to join their on-site M&E team in Haarlem, keeping this 24/7 environment running safely and reliably through planned maintenance and hands‑on fault response. With AI driving huge demand, it's a great chance to join a business with serious investment behind it and plenty of room to grow your career.

Responsibilities:
  • Look after the site’s critical infrastructure, including UPS systems, generators, switchgear and cooling plant, keeping everything performing to agreed standards
  • Keep an eye on building management system alerts, react quickly to faults and carry out urgent repairs when needed
  • Hand over cleanly between shifts, keeping work orders, maintenance logs and reports up to date so the team always has the full picture
  • Organise spare parts and contractors on site, overseeing safe systems of work, method statements and safety and quality checks
  • Keep customers in the loop on day-to-day operations, flag any risks early and suggest ways to make things run more efficiently
  • Play an active part in the site’s safety culture, run short safety briefings and help out at other sites when required
Skills & Experience:
  • The right to work in the Netherlands already in place (this role is for candidates based locally, as relocation isn't offered)
  • A recognised electrical or mechanical qualification, such as an NVQ Level 2, City & Guilds or a completed trade apprenticeship
  • At least 3 years in a mission-critical or building services maintenance role, ideally within a data centre
  • Happy working a rotating shift pattern of 2 days, 2 evenings and 2 nights, followed by 4 days off
