Job summary

Rider Levett Bucknall (RLB) invites applications for a Cost Manager in Amsterdam. You will drive cost management across hospitality and related sectors, coordinating with teams to deliver value and maintain schedules.

The role offers hybrid working and exposure to diverse projects within our European practice. The ideal candidate has quantity surveying qualifications and experience in cost management, with a track record of stakeholder engagement and timely delivery.

Qualifications

• Degree in Quantity Surveying or similar construction discipline required.
• Hospitality sector experience preferred.
• Experience in consultancy, contractor, developer, or client-side roles.
• Stakeholder management with client focus and delivery mindset.
• Ability to prioritise workloads and meet deadlines.

• Support value-for-money objectives in all circumstances.
• Carry out duties efficiently following procedures.

Role Overview

We are currently recruiting Cost Managers to be based in Amsterdam, Netherlands. This is an exciting opportunity to join and strengthen RLB’s team while working in a supportive environment, on interesting projects.

The role presents an opportunity to work across Hospitality sector as well as commercial, life sciences and industrial among others in the future while the team continues to develop, diversify and as RLB’s European business continues to grow.

Key Responsibilities

• The candidate will be an integral part of a team that is accountable for the commercial and contractual performance of a project.
• To support business objectives of delivering value for money in all circumstances.
• To carry out assigned duties efficiently and in accordance with processes and procedures.
• Comply with established commercial/procurement/ contractual strategies.
• Take responsibility for complying with Environmental, Health, Safety, Security and Quality Standards.
• Cost Planning and estimating, post contract and procurement duties

Candidate Profile

Qualifications

• Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or similar construction related technical discipline.

Experience

• Quantity Surveying/Cost Management experience on Hospitality sector.
• Proven technical / project delivery experience. Previously employed by a consultancy, contractor, developer, or client-side organisation.
• Stakeholder management with a clear focus on developing client accounts.
• A track record of working with teams and managing projects by prioritising workloads and delivering deadlines.
