Overview

As a Cost Estimator/Cost Engineer, you contribute to the major challenges and increasing demand for and use of heat pumps, solar panels, charging stations, and batteries, among other things. You contribute cost-effectively to innovative and sustainable technical solutions within complex infrastructure energy projects. For example, you will be involved in acquiring (framework) agreements for district heating network developments and the renewal and expansion of electricity, gas/hydrogen, and water networks for public and private clients.

Responsibilities

• As soon as a request is received, determine the scope in consultation with the tender manager
• Create and monitor cost estimates during the various phases of the design process. In some cases, you also do this during the operational and use phase.
• Encourage your tender team members to be creative in interpreting tender requirements. You also encourage them to think from the customer\'s perspective.
• Prepare and/or assess and review estimates and budgets, together with your tender team members, in order to arrive at an integrated financial proposal
• Identify financial risks and opportunities and demonstrate their cost-technical consequences
• Perform interim evaluations and post-calculations, and monitor indexations. Translate current price and market developments into financing and liquidity forecasts.
• Participate in the formal proposal to the client. This includes drafting the final document, explaining the principles and financial agreements in plain language. You then discuss these with the client, together with the tender manager.
• Provide strategic advice on purchasing issues and, together with purchasing colleagues, evaluate quotes and conduct price negotiations. You then determine the best offer with the tender team.
