Job summary

TMC is seeking an experienced Cost Specialist to join the cost team on large civil infrastructure projects in the Netherlands. You will assess budgets, develop cost products, and provide expert advice on costs and estimates, working closely with the client’s IPM team on site.

You will collaborate with cost professionals to review external cost inputs and contribute to knowledge development within the group, engaging in cost and procurement discussions as needed.

About this vacancy

For a major public client working towards a safe, accessible, and livable Netherlands, we are looking for an experienced Cost Specialist for large civil infrastructure projects.

You will become part of the cost specialist team within one or more project teams. You will assess contractor budgets, provide advice on costs and estimates, and develop cost products such as estimates, models, and business cases. Additionally, you will review cost products from external parties and contribute to knowledge development within the team. Where it adds value, you will participate in meetings of the client’s cost pool.

You will be managed by the head of the cost pool. On a daily basis, you will collaborate with the client’s cost advisor on the project and the integrated project management team (IPM) on-site.
