Job summary

BlockTech, a fast-paced algorithmic trading firm, seeks a Software Engineer to own position, PnL and hedging systems across venues. You will build, run, and monitor the platform, ensuring data integrity and delivering production-grade solutions.

Ideal candidates have a strong quantitative background, solid Python experience, and familiarity with Grafana and PostgreSQL. The role is based in Amsterdam with competitive compensation and a developer-friendly environment leveraging AI and automation.

Qualifications

• Engineering mindset with a strong quantitative background.
• Educational background in Mathematics, Econometrics or Computer Science.
• Experience with Python, Grafana and PostgreSQL.

Responsibilities

• Own the books: maintain and evolve position, trade, and PnL systems across venues.
• Do the quant work: refine hedging, Greeks, margin models and early exercise premium calculations.
• Surface the risk: build risk views and calculations for traders and risk team.
• Support the desk: ensure data accuracy and availability for traders and researchers.
• Deliver reporting: provide data for regulators, PnL breakdowns and surveillance.
• Own it in production: spot discrepancies, trace root causes, and maintain what you ship.
