Job summary

ENTER bv seeks a Control Systems Integrator to fuse real-time control with high-tech mechatronic platforms. You will design, integrate, calibrate and tune controllers for semiconductor, robotics and laser modules, collaborating with engineers across disciplines.

Qualifications

• Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Control Engineering or Mechatronics with at least 5 years of relevant work experience.
• Proven experience in real-time controller integration, machine calibration and controller tuning.
• Proficiency in MATLAB/Simulink, TwinCAT, Python and LabVIEW.
• Experience testing/validating complex systems for reliable, reproducible operation.
• Experience in high-tech contexts such as semiconductors, robotics, positioning stages or laser modules.

Responsibilities

• Integrate, configure, and troubleshoot real-time controllers in high-tech environments.

• Build tools for simulation, data analysis, diagnostics, and visualization.
• Develop and maintain Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) simulation setups.

What are you going to do as Control Systems Integrator?

We are looking for a controls engineer who can seamlessly combine real-time control systems, high-tech mechatronic systems and precision motion platforms into a single, perfectly functioning whole.

As a Control Systems Integrator, you will be responsible for the detailed design and integration of control systems within high-tech environments. You will work on applications in the semiconductor industry, (autonomous) robotics, positioning stages and laser-based communication modules, collaborating with system architects, software engineers and mechatronics teams to take systems from prototype to end product.

Key responsibilities:

• Designing and implementing controllers, including SW and FW interfaces, both in custom-made and off-the-shelf control platforms (e.g. PLC software in Beckhoff TwinCAT).
• Integrating, configuring and troubleshooting real-time controllers.
• Performing machine calibrations and controller tuning to achieve optimal performance and stability.
• Analyzing system behavior and identify improvements based on test results.

Are you someone with

• a Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Control Engineering or Mechatronics, supplemented by at least 5 years’ relevant work experience.
• proven experience in real-time controller integration, machine calibration, controller tuning and designing.
• proficiency in one or more of the following: MATLAB/Simulink, TwinCAT, Python, LabVIEW.
• experience in testing and validation and know how to ensure complex systems operate reliably and reproducibly.
• experience in high-tech fields such as semiconductors, robotics, positioning stages or laser-based communication modules.
• a practical, solution-oriented mindset and can quickly get to the bottom of technical challenges.
