Fair Tourism is a Dutch non-profit organization (est. 1989) committed to promoting sustainable, community-based tourism (CBT). We work to ensure Indigenous communities are not treated as tourist attractions, but empowered as leaders in shaping their own tourism initiatives. We develop capacity-building programs, collaborate with universities, and currently run projects in Thailand, Indonesia, and Kenya. Since 2025, we have also been a proud member of The Hague Humanity Hub.
Fair Tourism aims to transition from a volunteer-based operation to a fully professionalized team. To achieve this, we are seeking passionate individuals who want to help shape our next chapter. Your contribution will directly support our ability to scale our visibility, strengthen our positioning, and increase our impact on Indigenous communities worldwide.
Fair Tourism is seeking a Content Strategist to define and guide our brand, ensuring our messaging reflects our mission while connecting projects, partnerships, and fundraising efforts into a clear and compelling narrative.
Commitment: 10–15 hours per week (flexible)
Location: The Hague, Netherlands (Hybrid / Remote)
Collaboration: The Hague Humanity Hub
Type: Volunteer (unpaid)
Fair Tourism is committed to building an inclusive and diverse team. We strongly encourage applications from professionals with experience in marketing; early-career professionals who want to scale up their expertise and test themselves in a leading position; as well as people returning to the workforce after a career break, particularly those with prior relevant experience in the field. Your unique perspectives and experiences are highly valued and welcomed.
