Podimo, Europe’s leading podcasting platform, seeks a Content Manager for its Dutch content team in Amsterdam. You will shape the Dutch podcasting landscape by managing content investments with top studios and creators, guiding ideas from concept to commissioning, evaluating performance, and beyond.

You will work with partnerships, marketing, and business affairs to promote and contract content, while overseeing a portfolio from idea spark to production oversight.

Qualifications

• Minimum of five years of relevant experience in media, audio, or entertainment with a background in content development or a relevant commercial role.
• Able to persuade creators and partners to collaborate on podcast projects.
• Experience managing talent, agents, or production partners and giving constructive feedback.
• Strong project and production management skills and ability to translate audience preferences into concrete initiatives.
• Fluent in Dutch and English, written and verbal.

• Source and commission original podcasts and acquire exclusive content that resonates with audiences.
• Build strong relationships with independent creators, production studios, and agents to maximize partnerships.
• Help shape content strategy by analyzing trends and show performance to drive editorial and commercial decisions.

• Coordinate with Activation, Marketing, and Business Affairs teams to promote and contract acquired content.
• Handle administrative portfolio tasks including contract management and performance tracking.

This is the role

Do you have a big heart for stories? Do you love podcasts and do you have the creative and strategic mindset to bring them to life? At Podimo, we are on a mission to deliver high-quality audio stories to listeners. In this role, you shape the Dutch podcasting landscape, by managing content investments into existing and new productions with the industry’s top studios and creators.
You will be part of the content team of eight people at one of the largest podcasting companies in the Netherlands, and work closely with creators and production partners to contribute to the growth of our platform.
You will be responsible for a portfolio of commissioned titles, overseeing them from the initial spark of an idea to commissioning the production, evaluating the performance and beyond.

What you'll do:

• You will source and commission original podcasts and acquire exclusive content that resonates with our target audiences. You’ll assess inbound pitches and provide the editorial sparring needed to develop new hits.
  

• Building strong relationships is at the heart of what we do. You will collaborate with independent creators, production studios, and agents, ensuring we make the most out of our partnerships. You'll provide direction to our partners and establish a valuable feedback loop that aligns their creativity with our shared goals.
  

• Working with the Market Director of Content, you will help shape our content strategy in line with trends across podcasting and wider entertainment. You'll analyze data to maximize show performance, making editorial and commercial decisions that turn casual listeners into loyal fans.
  

• You will pro-actively propose content investments into new shows and support your advice with solid forecasts of their commercial performance and a clear outline of the creative approach.
  

• You will work with our local Activation and Marketing team and to ensure they have the right information to promote and activate the content you acquire. You will also work with our local Business Affairs team, who will be responsible for carrying out negotiations with external partners and the contracting process.
  

• You will handle the essential administrative side of your portfolio, from contract management to performance tracking, ensuring everything runs smoothly behind the scenes

This is you

• You bring a minimum of five years of relevant experience in the media, audio, or entertainment industry. You have a solid background in content development or a relevant commercial role within the media.

• You are not afraid of picking up the phone and persuading well-known creators that podcasting is a big opportunity and our platform is the best environment to do so.

• You excel at working with creators. You have experience managing talent, agents, or production partners and can give constructive feedback in a way that fosters trust and improvement.

• You have strong project and production management skills. You are able to translate audience preferences into concrete initiatives to launch new podcasts and find and guide the right partners to get these off the ground.

• Strong communication skills in Dutch (fluent) and English, both written and verbal.
  

Practical

The role is based out of our offices in Amsterdam and reports directly to our Market Director of Content. This is a full-time position. Compensation is in line with market standards for the role and will be discussed during the process. We are reviewing applications and conducting interviews on a rolling basis, so we encourage you to apply as soon as possible. The process typically involves a short screening, a initial conversation, a case assignment, and a final round with the team.
