Job description

As a Medior FEC Consultant, you help our clients (banks, insurers, asset managers, and crypto and payment institutions) prevent financial crime. You work on assignments at our clients, where you analyze complex cases, advise on policies and processes, and help shape how financial crime risks are managed in practice. Depending on the assignment, your work covers transaction monitoring, systematic integrity risk analysis (SIRA), policies and procedures, and data management related to financial crime controls.

You will work in an ambitious and dynamic team with us, offering ample growth opportunities and a “work hard, play hard” mentality. In our work environment, we combine professionalism with a fresh perspective and a lot of passion

Your tasks and responsibilities
  • Complex case analysis: Lead and carry out in-depth investigations into high-risk client profiles and intricate transaction patterns, identifying potential money laundering, terrorist financing or fraud that automated systems might overlook.
  • Risk and policy advisory: Contribute to or lead SIRA, the design and improvement of FEC policies and procedures, and the setup of transaction monitoring frameworks. Translate complex AML/CTF (Wwft) and Sanctions regulations into practical steps for the client’s project team, ensuring a “first time right” approach.
  • Data and process optimization: Identify bottlenecks in the client’s monitoring systems, data quality or manual investigation processes, and propose data-driven improvements that increase detection efficiency.
  • Quality assurance and coaching: Act as first-line reviewer for dossiers completed by junior colleagues, giving constructive feedback so that all reporting meets both our internal standards and the client’s regulatory requirements.
  • Stakeholder management: Serve as the primary point of contact for project leads and compliance stakeholders at the client, reporting on progress and defending findings in compliance committee meetings.
  • Commercial contribution: Build and maintain relationships within your client network, spot follow-up opportunities on assignments, and help us grow our presence in the market, including in specialized areas such as crypto.
