Job summary

SBM Offshore in Rotterdam is seeking a Construction Methods Engineer to implement and optimize construction methods, standards, and know-how for safe, efficient project execution. You will tailor construction methodologies to project needs, addressing site conditions, materials, and scheduling.

You will provide technical expertise on construction techniques to project teams, maintain records for lessons learned, and contribute to department improvement through analyses, workshops, and standards

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Mechanical, Construction Management, or a related field.
• At least 3 years of experience with knowledge of construction techniques, materials, and HSSE regulations.
• Proficiency in construction management software and tools.

Responsibilities

• Your responsibilities include delivering construction methodologies tailored to project requirements, considering factors such as materials, site conditions, and project requirements and schedule.
• You address and resolve construction challenges, applying constructability principle to find effective solutions.
• You participate to provide solid technical expertise on construction techniques to the project / site team, ensuring best practices are followed.
• You maintain comprehensive records of construction methods, changes, outcomes and Lessons Learned for future reference and continuous improvement.
• You participate to department improvement program, through cross analyses, workshops, reporting and/or Construction Methods standards development.

Purpose

• The Construction Methods Engineer is responsible for implementing and optimizing construction methods, standards, best practices and know how to ensure efficiency, quality, and safety during the planning, engineering and execution of construction projects.
