Job summary

NN Group Netherlands is seeking a data scientist to design, build and continuously improve data analyses, dashboards and AI‑driven solutions for Compliance. You will work hands‑on with complex data and models to deliver robust, explainable tools used daily by Compliance colleagues, while taking end‑to‑end ownership from production to monitoring.

You will apply responsible AI practices, including AI Act considerations and risk assessments, and collaborate with engineers and analysts to

Qualifications

• 5 years of relevant work experience
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Econometrics, Mathematics or similar quantitative or IT-focused discipline
• Hands-on experience with Python and building, deploying and operating ML/AI applications
• Experience with LLMs, retrieval-augmented generation, data preparation and deployment helps across the DS lifecycle
• Ownership of data and AI solutions from production to monitoring and improvement

Responsibilities

• Design, build and continuously improve data analyses, dashboards and AI-driven solutions
• Work hands-on with complex data, assumptions and models to create robust, explainable solutions
• Take end-to-end ownership of data and AI solutions including maintenance and reducing technical debt
• Apply responsible AI principles throughout the lifecycle (AI Act, risk assessments, control docs)
• Translate Compliance challenges into analytical/AI solutions and deploy in production with engineers and analysts
