Job summary

Beyond Amsterdam is seeking a proactive Community Manager to own the financial, operational and experiential performance of our building. You’ll lead the on-site team, drive occupancy and revenue targets, and ensure members receive exceptional experiences.

Reporting to the Community Director, you’ll collaborate with Sales, Finance, Real Estate and central support to optimize operations, member satisfaction, and growth initiatives across the space. This onsite role is based in Amsterdam.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years in hospitality, marketing, multi-unit retail, startups, finance, consulting, CRE, or similar.
  • Strong customer service background and sales experience.
  • 2+ years managing teams of individual contributors.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong project management and business operations experience.
  • Fluency in English (written and spoken).

Responsibilities

  • Lead, manage and develop the Community Team with clear accountability and high performance.
  • Partner with Sales to achieve monthly revenue and occupancy targets and manage the full sales cycle.
  • Own member experience, handle escalations and drive satisfaction KPIs (NPS).
  • Oversee vendor relations, operations standards and building-level Opex responsibility.
  • Collaborate on building P&L, budgeting processes and financial optimisation.

Job description

The Role

As Community Manager, you are fully accountable for the financial, operational and experiential performance of your building. You own the day-to-day success of the space, lead the on-site team, and ensure members receive an exceptional experience while commercial and operational targets are met.

You will report directly to the Community Director and work closely with Sales, Finance, Real Estate, and central support teams.

Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Management

Lead, manage and develop the Community Team ensuring strong day-to-day support, clear accountability, and high performance across the team. Motivate and guide the team across all key business areas listed below fostering a collaborative and results-driven culture.

Sales
  • Partner closely with the Sales Team to achieve monthly revenue and occupancy targets
  • Manage the full sales cycle at building level, including tours, proposals, onboarding, renewals, pricing adjustments and growth conversations
  • Own HubSpot pipeline management and ensure accurate forecasting and follow-up
  • Actively manage member relationships to drive retention and prevent churn
  • Co-initiate and co-host broker events, referral initiatives and other lead-generation activities
  • Identify and implement new commercial initiatives to drive future growth
Member Experience
  • Own the overall member experience and relationships with key and strategic accounts
  • Act as the primary escalation point and final decision-maker on beyond policies and procedures
  • Resolve complex member issues, including terminations with professionalism and empathy
  • Monitor, analyze, and act on member satisfaction KPIs, including Net Promoter Score (NPS)
  • Develop and implement building-specific action plans to improve member satisfaction
  • Lead member communication related to business updates, process changes and company initiatives
Operations
  • Ensure beyond’s high-quality operational standards are consistently met and improved
  • Act as the primary point of contact for vendors, including onboarding and ongoing management
  • Hold vendors accountable to service levels and operational standards
  • Work with Asset Managers, Landlords, and the Real Estate team to manage building-related escalations
  • Maintain full accountability for building-level operating expenses (Opex)
Finance
  • Own the building P&L and overall financial performance in collaboration with the Finance Department
  • Contribute to monthly, quarterly, and annual budgeting processes
  • Identify and implement financial optimisation initiatives
  • Oversee membership fees collection, payment issues, late payments, and membership fees increases
About You
Basic Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience in hospitality, marketing, multi-unit retail, startups, finance, consulting, commercial real estate, or similar
  • Strong customer service background

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
