Job description

About Eddytec

We're a deep-tech startup building the next generation of non-destructive testing for carbon fibre composites, a hardware-and-software system that lets manufacturers see defects inside composite parts without damaging them. Composites are everywhere high performance matters: aircraft, supercars, boats, and sports equipment. Every scrapped part is expensive material thrown away. Cutting that waste brings the cost down, which puts composites within reach of industries that can't justify them today and helps the ones already using them hit their sustainability targets.

The role

This is a broad, hands-on commercial role for someone early in their career who wants to learn fast and touch a bit of everything. You'll sit at the centre of our commercial activity marketing, communications, business development, and the day-to-day that keeps it all moving. Some days you'll be shaping how we show up on LinkedIn; others you'll be preparing for a trade show, tidying up our CRM, or helping research a new market.

We're deliberately not hiring a specialist. We're hiring a curious, capable generalist who's happy to switch hats, isn't precious about the work, and wants to grow together with the company as we figure out our direction. You'll work closely with, and report jointly to, our CEO and our Commercial Director both of whom love what they do and will give you real responsibility and real support.

Your first couple of weeks will be spent with the team and in the lab, getting to grips with carbon fibre, how it's used, and what makes our technology special. You don't need to arrive an expert but you need to want to understand it.

How you'll make impact

Your time splits across three areas:

Marketing & communications

  • Keep our LinkedIn presence consistently good, it's quality over quantity.

  • Write clear, engaging copy: posts, website updates, newsletters, and content that makes complex technology easy to understand.

  • Keep our website current as the company evolves.

  • Help prepare for trade shows end-to-end: materials, logistics, and everything that makes us look sharp on the day.

  • Use AI tools to draft options quickly, then refine them with the team.

Business development & sales support

  • Keep our CRM (HubSpot) clean, current, and useful.

  • Support outreach and follow-up with prospects and partners.

  • Research companies, markets, and segments to help us decide where to focus.

  • Help build business cases and size up new markets to guide where we grow next.

  • Keep an eye on competitors and track industry trends so we stay a step ahead.

  • Help turn conversations and pilots into next steps.

Coordination & admin

  • Keep decks, documents, and materials organised and looking good.

  • Handle light commercial admin (e.g., formatting invoices and documents).

  • Be the person who spots the small things that need doing and does them.

As you find your strengths, the role will flex toward what you're best at. There's genuine room to grow with the company.

What makes you a good fit
  • You're eager to learn and genuinely curious, the kind of person who reads about how companies grow, or how good brands communicate, for fun.

  • You're proactive and comfortable with ambiguity. You'd rather try something, learn, and adjust than wait for perfect instructions.

  • You're happy wearing different hats and switching between them without feeling the work is beneath you.

  • You have a good eye for detail, typos and messy formatting bother you a little.

  • You're a genuinely nice person who enjoys being part of a small team, in person, every day.

  • You want to grow with a company rather than pass through it.

What you'll need
  • 3+ years of experience in a commercial, marketing, communications, or similar role or you're a career-changer bringing strong transferable skills and real hunger. Your specific background matters far less than your attitude and ability to learn.

  • Confident written English and strong copywriting instincts.

  • Comfortable using sales outreach and lead-generation tools such as Apollo, RocketReach, or similar.

  • Comfort with LinkedIn as a professional channel and familiarity with (or the ability to quickly learn) HubSpot.

  • An eye for detail and an interest in design, you care how things look and read.

  • The right to work in the Netherlands.

  • Willingness and enthusiasm to work on-site at Amsterdam Science Park as part of the team.

Nice to have, not essential: hands-on design skills (Canva, Photoshop, InDesign), experience with email/newsletter tools, additional languages, or any exposure to technical, engineering, or B2B environments.

What we offer
  • A front-row seat at a funded deep-tech startup solving a real, hard problem.

  • Broad exposure across marketing, communications, sales, and business development, a rare chance to discover what you're great at.

  • Real responsibility early, with hands-on support from an experienced CEO and Commercial Director.

  • A friendly, low-ego, slightly nerdy team that genuinely enjoys the work.

  • A full-time role based at Amsterdam Science Park.
