Job summary

VAROPreem is seeking a Commercial Analytics Intern in Rotterdam to work on a core analytical project aligned with business objectives, while gaining exposure to multiple desks and products across physical, futures, and OTC markets.

The role emphasizes data-driven trading insights, dashboard development, and hands-on learning across Trading, Risk Management and Commercial teams. Ideal candidates are recent graduates with strong analytical skills and programming experience.

Qualifications

• Recent Bachelor graduate in Economics, Finance, Mathematics, Engineering, Physics, Data Science or similar.

Responsibilities

• Analyze price movements, spreads, and forward curves.
• Support daily exposure and risk monitoring for trading desks.
• Assist with scenario and sensitivity analysis on trading positions.
• Help analyse PnL drivers and market performance.
• Maintain and improve desk-level dashboards and reports.
• Automate recurring reports using Excel and/or Python.
• Work with market and position data from internal systems.
