Job summary

IR Search BV is seeking a technical architect to transition groundbreaking photonic memory research into a scalable hardware product. You will own the technical execution, shaping the long-term technology roadmap, IP strategy, and product architecture in close collaboration with the Technical CEO.

You will lead a small elite team, mentor external partners, and balance scientific rigor with engineering practicality to deliver reproducible, scalable results.

Qualifications

• PhD in Photonics, Applied Physics, or Materials Science.
• Proven photonic device design, fabrication, and characterization experience.
• Founder mindset with long-term ownership and resilience in pre-seed setup.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design of photonic memory hardware from physics to manufacturable chips.
• Own the prototyping lifecycle using EBL and deposition with rapid iteration cycles.
• Integrate photonics with electronics, packaging, and thermal management.
