SMART Photonics in Eindhoven, NL, is seeking a Senior R&D Engineer for the Innovation & Platform Architecture (IPA) group. You will collaborate with scientists, engineers and cleanroom technicians to develop and optimize photonic integration processes and devices for scalable platform development.
The ideal candidate holds a PhD (or master’s with strong track record) in Photonics, Electrical Engineering or Physics, and brings 5+ years of industry experience in semiconductor manufacturing and
Qualifications
- PhD in Photonics, Electrical Engineering, Physics, or related field (Master accepted with conditions).
- 5+ years of experience in semiconductor manufacturing processes.
- Hands-on industrial experience in integrated photonics (III-V or silicon).
- Experience with DoE, 8D, RCA, and FMEA.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; able to work across functions.
Responsabilités
- Define process strategy and architecture, including testability requirements.
- Lead DoE to qualify new devices or processes and assess changes in integration.
- Architect modular, maintainable designs and lead complex projects.
- Drive cross-functional initiatives to improve yields and processes.
- Lead or participate in 8D, FMEA, RCA and process optimization.
