Job summary

Van Hoorn Carbide in Weert is gespecialiseerd in hardmetalen frezen en levert wereldwijd hoogwaardige gereedschappen. Je werkt met moderne, 9-assige CNC-slijpmachines en krijgt uitgebreide inwerk- en trainingsprogramma's om je te ontwikkelen tot een onafhankelijke CNC Tool Grinder.

De functie vereist een technische achtergrond en een motivatie om te leren; ervaring is welkom maar niet vereist. Een tweeploegendienst en aantrekkelijke arbeidsvoorwaarden zijn geboden.

• Stel CNC-slijpmachines in, pas ze aan en bedien ze.

• Controleer kwaliteit en nauwkeurigheid tot op één micrometer.
• Identificeer afwijkingen en draag bij aan procesverbeteringen.

Do you enjoy working with modern technology and want to develop into a specialist in precision engineering? At Van Hoorn Carbide in Weert, you will work with unique 9-axis CNC grinding machines to manufacture high-quality milling cutters, drills and reamers. Experience in CNC grinding is welcome but not essential: if you have a technical background and the right motivation, we will train you in-house.

Van Hoorn Carbide is part of Harvey Performance Company and specializes in the development and production of high-quality solid carbide cutting tools. From our modern production facility, we supply customers worldwide who rely on quality, innovation and exceptional precision.

In this role, you will be responsible for:

You will work a two-shift schedule in our modern grinding department. During a comprehensive induction program, experienced colleagues will teach you this specialist trade step by step. As your expertise develops, you will independently produce both unique custom tools and larger production runs.

• Set up, adjust and operate CNC grinding machines.
• Produce high-quality milling cutters, drills and reamers in accordance with technical specifications.
• Measure and analyses ground products using professional measuring equipment.
• Monitor quality and accuracy to within one micrometer.
• Identify deviations and contribute ideas for improving the production process.

What Harvey provides:

• Direct employment with Van Hoorn Carbide, with a contract tailored to your current circumstances.
• A gross base salary of €2,600 to €4,000 per month, depending on your knowledge and experience.
• A 14% shift allowance on top of your base salary.
• A generous bonus scheme for weekend work, allowing you to earn up to an additional €1,500 gross per month.
• 25 days of annual leave and 13 additional rostered days off (ADV).
• A fixed two-shift schedule: morning shift from 6:00 a.m. To 2:30 p.m. And evening shift from 2:00 p.m. To 10:30 p.m.
• A comprehensive induction and training program in which experienced colleagues will support your development into an independent CNC Tool Grinder.

You’ll bring:

You have technical insight, work accurately and enjoy using modern machinery to create unique precision products. Experience in metalworking is an advantage, but your motivation to learn the trade is just as important to us.

• Vocational education and working level, preferably with a background in mechanical engineering, metalworking or another technical field.
• You can read technical drawings or are willing to learn.
• You work carefully, systematically and with a strong focus on quality.
• You are willing to work a two-shift schedule.
• You are eager to learn and have a genuine interest in CNC technology and precision engineering.
