Procurement Manager

YOUR ROLE

At CEVA Logistics, we are looking for a Procurement Manager for our BeNe-organization. As a Procurement Manager, you are responsible for our Procurement team in the Netherlands and Belgium. You operate in an international environment, engaging with stakeholders at local, regional, and global level. The emphasis of this position is clearly on strategic stakeholder management: you know how to bring different interests together, you're diplomatically strong, and you act as a strategic partner for the business, international colleagues and external vendors.

In addition to procurement responsibilities, this role also includes ownership of the category management stategy for Temporary Labour. This means taking a strategic, end-to-end approach to the procurement and management of the temporary labour category, covering both temporary agency workers and secondment providers.

The role is responsible not only for negotiating competitive rates and commercial terms, but also for developing and implementing the broader supplier strategy for the category. This includes determining the optimal supplier landscape, defining the preferred supplier base, assessing the appropriate number and mix of suppliers, and ensuring that the organisation has access to the right capabilities, capacity and flexibility at the right cost.

In your role as a Procurement Manager you will manage a team of Procurement Specialists (3 headcount), each with their own scope of responsibility. In doing so, you provide clear direction, ensure alignment within the Procurement team, and set a clear course for the department in the Netherlands and Belgium. You are self-managing, you bring structure, and you have a clear vision of how procurement can continue to develop within the BeNe-organization.

In this position, you thus combine strategy, leadership, and execution power. You not only manage your operational goals, but also how to build and engage your team and how to manage your stakeholders.

In summary, within this role you are, among other things, responsible for:

WHERE WILL YOU WORK?

CEVA Logistics is a leading international logistics service provider. Within the BeNe-region, we operate more than 50 sites across 30 locations, representing 1.3 million m² of warehouse capacity within Contract Logistics and e-Commerce. In addition, we provide supply chain solutions in Airfreight, Oceanfreight, Ground & Rail, and Finished Vehicle Logistics (FVL).

Your base location is our Be-Ne headquarters in Zaltbommel, but you will regularly travel to locations or suppliers across the BeNe-region. Therefore, you will have a great deal of flexibility in organizing your own agenda, working hours, and work location, including the possibility to work from home. You will report to the Global Procurement Vice President and have a dotted-line reporting relationship to the Country Head BeNe.

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

We are looking for a senior procurement professional with a tactical mindset, strong leadership skills, and a good understanding of organizational dynamics. You are confident, independent, and know how to make an impact at all levels of the organization as well as with external vendors. You are able to balance different interests in a diplomatic and results-oriented way and naturally take ownership in driving initiatives forward. In addition, you have experience in creating structure, optimizing processes, and implementing improvements within a team or organization.

In addition, you bring the following:
