Job summary

Cognizant Netherlands is seeking a Cloud & Network Infrastructure Engineer to deliver software-defined infrastructure and cloud connectivity across compute, storage, and networking, including Cisco ACI and Azure Landing Zones.

You will provide 24x7 operational support, automate provisioning with Infrastructure-as-Code, and ensure security and compliance across hybrid and multi-cloud environments while collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

Strong hands-on experience with Cisco ACI or comparable software-defined networking (SDN) solutions.
Proven experience designing and implementing Azure Landing Zones in enterprise environments.
Solid understanding of cloud networking, security groups, and connectivity models (VNet peering, ExpressRoute, VPN, etc.).
Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code tooling for cloud provisioning, such as Terraform, Bicep, or ARM templates.
Knowledge of hybrid cloud and on-premise integration patterns and architectures.
Strong troubleshooting skills in a 24x7 operational environment, with a structured and methodical approach to incident resolution.

Responsibilities

Design, build, and maintain software-defined networking solutions using Cisco ACI, ensuring a scalable, policy-driven network fabric.
Design and manage Azure Landing Zones to support secure, standardized, and repeatable cloud adoption across the organization.
Provide 24x7 operational support for compute, storage, and network infrastructure, ensuring maximum availability and performance.
Enable automated provisioning of cloud infrastructure through Infrastructure-as-Code (e.g., Terraform, Bicep, ARM templates).
Ensure network and cloud connectivity security, segmentation, and compliance across hybrid and multi-cloud environments.
Monitor infrastructure performance and proactively address capacity or connectivity issues before they impact business operations.
Collaborate with application and platform teams on cloud migration and adoption strategies, providing engineering guidance and best practices.
Troubleshoot and resolve incidents related to network and cloud infrastructure, minimizing downtime and supporting continuous improvement.

About the Role

As a Cloud & Network Infrastructure Engineer, you will make an impact by offering 24x7 software-defined infrastructure and cloud connectivity solutions — encompassing compute, storage, and networking including Application Centric Infrastructure (ACI) and Azure Landing Zones — facilitating secure and automated cloud adoption. You will be a valued member of our Infrastructure & Cloud team and work collaboratively with application, platform, and security teams across the organization.

In This Role, You Will:

What You Need to Have to Be Considered

These Will Help You Stand Out

Familiarity with network security frameworks and compliance standards relevant to cloud infrastructure.
Experience working in large-scale enterprise or managed services environments.
Relevant certifications such as Cisco CCNP/CCIE, Microsoft Azure Administrator (AZ-104), or Azure Network Engineer Associate (AZ-700).
Exposure to DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines for infrastructure automation.
Strong communication skills and the ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders.
