Job summary

Coinmerce in the Netherlands is expanding its engineering team and seeks a DevOps Engineer to build and maintain robust cloud infrastructure, automate deployment pipelines, and ensure security and scalability of our crypto-fintech platform.

You will collaborate with engineering and security teams to uphold uptime, implement observability, and improve configurations across microservices, leveraging GCP, Kubernetes, and Terraform.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 4 years in designing, developing, and maintaining microservice-based web application cloud infrastructures.
• Experience in Cloud-native environments, preferably Fintech or high-growth tech sectors.
• Deep expertise in Google Cloud Platform (GCP) including App Engine, Cloud Run, and GKE; Kubernetes; Terraform; and relational databases (MySQL/PostgreSQL).
• Strong analytical problem-solving, a collaborative team-player attitude, and ability to mentor colleagues.
• High level of dedication and a proactive work ethic regarding system reliability and security.

Responsibilities

• Infrastructure Management: Build and maintain stable, scalable cloud infrastructures and configurations for running microservices.
• Pipeline Automation: Design and improve CI/CD releasing pipelines to empower your engineering colleagues.
• System Stability: Proactively spot and fix potential weaknesses in configurations to improve overall system uptime and performance.
• Security & Compliance: Protect the platform by staying ahead of the latest CVEs and security trends within the IT and crypto space.
• Incident Resolution: Provide dedicated support to resolve server issues and downtime, maintaining a "don’t stop until it’s solved" mindset.
• Observability & Monitoring: Implement robust logging, metrics, and alerting frameworks to gain deep visibility into microservices, ensuring proactive detection of anomalies before they impact the platform.
