Job summary

Crystalloids is seeking a software developer to help build scalable, data-driven solutions in our Rotterdam office. You will work on serverless Google Cloud projects, focusing on high-quality software engineering, security, and maintainability.

You will collaborate across teams to deliver data pipelines and applications using Java, Python, and SQL, embracing Agile practices, TDD, and Infrastructure as Code.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Proficiency in Core Tools: Cloud Run, Firestore, Apigee, Cloud Composer/Apache Airflow, Pub/Sub, Dataform, Terraform.
• Familiarity with Google Cloud Services: AppEngine, Endpoints, BigQuery, Cloud Storage, Dataflow, Datastore.
• Programming languages: Java/Python, SQL.
• Methodologies: Agile (Scrum), TDD, UML, Shell scripting.
• Soft skills: problem solving, collaboration, documentation.
• Certificates: GCP Professional certs are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop cost-efficient, scalable solutions within a defined architectural framework.
• Create data engineering and integration solutions, build data pipelines and transformations.
• Incorporate security and data protection into all solutions.
• Implement everything-as-code practices for traceability and maintainability.
• Support CI/CD workflows and best practices.
• Evaluate delivered solutions against business needs and standards.
• Engage with clients to explain solutions and address feedback.
