Job summary

A leading European media group is seeking a Cloud Engineer to build and maintain cloud infrastructure, support developers, and solve complex issues. This role requires extensive experience in cloud automation, working in a collaborative, international team. Ideal candidates have a strong technical foundation, hands-on experience with AWS or Azure, and skills in Kubernetes and Docker. Full-time position based in Amsterdam.

Qualifications

• 5+ years’ experience in cloud infrastructure and automation.
• Hands-on knowledge of AWS or Azure.
• Experience with Kubernetes, Docker, and IaC tools like Terraform or Ansible.
• Experience with both Linux and Windows environments.
• Strong scripting skills (e.g. Bash, PowerShell).
• Solid understanding of networking and CI/CD.

Responsibilities

• Support development teams with cloud infrastructure expertise.
• Take ownership of operations and improve system architecture.
• Align infrastructure with the DEV team.
• Stay updated with trends in web hosting, DevOps, and the Cloud.
• Participate in an on-call rotation after onboarding.
• Spot improvements, resolve complex problems, and monitor cost efficiency.
• Document work thoroughly and approach resolving instability structurally.
