Job summary

Rewire is seeking a Cloud Engineer to build scalable cloud platforms and automate infrastructure across AWS, Azure, and GCP. You’ll work with engineers, AI specialists, and business leaders to deliver production‑ready cloud solutions.

We value hands‑on, growth‑minded professionals with strong coding skills, Git proficiency, and excellent English communication. Dutch is a plus, with frequent travel to client sites across Europe.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in a quantitative or STEM field (e.g., Computer Science, Software Engineering, Informatics) is required.
• Practical experience through internships or projects, or up to three years of professional experience with cloud tech and delivering production-grade infra.
• Strong development skills; Git proficiency and high-quality, maintainable code.
• Hands-on, growth-minded approach; ownership and willingness to tackle new cloud tech.
• Effective communication and collaborative spirit; ability to work in teams and explain technical concepts clearly.
• Fluency in English; Dutch is a plus; willingness to travel regularly to client sites.

Where you’ll make a difference

• Build cloud foundations that power digital transformations – architect and implement the core infrastructure, platforms, and services that enable scalable products in AWS, Azure, or GCP

• Collaborate across disciplines – work closely with fellow engineers, AI Experts and business transformation leaders to deliver production‑ready cloud platforms that create real impact for our clients

• Enable AI and event‑driven systems at scale – deploy CI/CD pipelines, serverless architectures, networking, security, and the infrastructure that ML/AI workloads run on

• Develop clean, reusable infrastructure code – using Terraform, Python, and modern cloud tooling to automate everything from environments to deployments

• Translate architecture into business value – explain cloud decisions clearly to stakeholders so teams understand why a design matters, not just how it works

• A Master’s degree with excellent results in a quantitative or STEM field (e.g., Computer Science, Software Engineering, Informatics, or other engineering or technical disciplines)

Where you’ll work

Most projects involve working onsite at client locations across the Netherlands, with opportunities to collaborate with clients in Germany and elsewhere in Europe, including travel as projects require.

Work is typically split between client sites and the office, providing a balance between collaboration with clients and time with the wider team.

When you're not onsite with clients, you're welcome to work from our Amsterdam office or from home. Rewire’s Amsterdam office is more than just a workplace – it's a hub for collaboration, innovation, and problem‑solving, where we come together to shape the future.
