Job summary

Mammoet is seeking a Data Engineer to design, build and maintain scalable, cloud-based data pipelines for analytics, reporting and AI use cases. You will work on Data Vault modeling and collaborate with analysts, security and cloud teams to deliver end-to-end data solutions.

You will join a global team in Schiedam, contributing to a modern data platform and AI initiatives while ensuring data quality, security and performance across large datasets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's in Computer Science, Data Science or Engineering.
• 0–5 years in data engineering with cloud focus.
• Deep cloud data engineering knowledge and AI/ML awareness.
• Strong data modeling, Data Vault, warehousing and ETL/ELT.
• Proficiency in Python, SQL and PySpark.
• Hands-on with Azure Synapse, Databricks or Snowflake.
• Experience with data orchestration and CI/CD (Git, Azure DevOps).

Responsibilities

• Design, build and maintain scalable cloud data pipelines for analytics and AI use cases.
• Model data with Data Vault for flexible, auditable enterprise models.
• Optimize processing, storage, performance and costs of large datasets.
• Collaborate with analysts, stakeholders and security teams on end-to-end solutions.
• Monitor and improve data pipelines for quality and availability.
• Provide on-call support for critical pipelines.
• Design, deploy and maintain ML pipelines and APIs.
• Support production AI/ML models and troubleshoot data issues.
• Explore new technologies to improve platform efficiency and robustness.
• Share data engineering best practices across the organization.
