Job summary

Visionworks of America is seeking a Clinical Specialist/Optometric Assistant to support patient experience by preparing clients for onsite or remote examinations and performing pre-exam tests. You will communicate clearly with patients and clinicians, document results in the EMR, and help coordinate next steps in the patient journey.

In this role you will assist with both in-store and remote eye exams, explain testing steps, manage scheduling, and maintain accurate patient records.

Qualifications

• One year of related experience in optical/healthcare settings.
• HS diploma or equivalent required.
• Medical office professionalism preferred.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for onsite or remote exams and tests.
• Assist doctors during eye examinations and document results in EMR.
• Explain pre-testing steps and remote exam procedures to patients.
• Coordinate with retail staff to schedule exams and manage bookings.
