Job summary

Tech Rise in Rotterdam is seeking a product-minded Full-Stack Engineer to lead the building and scaling of climate tech products. You will own features from concept to production, within a small, experienced team, and influence both product strategy and engineering decisions.

The role requires Django backend and TypeScript/NextJS frontend expertise, with a passion for practical, impactful solutions that align with environmental goals.

Qualifications

• 3–7 years of hands-on full-stack software engineering.
• Strong backend experience with Django.
• Solid frontend experience with TypeScript and NextJS.
• Proven track record of shipping production features end-to-end.
• Genuine interest in climate tech, sustainability and impact.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and ship production-ready features end-to-end using Django and TypeScript (NextJS).
• Contribute to architectural decisions and shape the platform's technical direction.
• Ensure high-quality, maintainable code while balancing speed and practicality.
• Take ownership of the product lifecycle, influencing engineering and product decisions.
• Solve complex challenges across engineering, product, and operations.
• Drive initiatives from ideation through deployment with the team.
• Collaborate closely within a small, experienced group to iterate on feedback.
• Continuously learn and explore new technologies to improve capabilities.
• Proactively identify areas for improvement in code and product.
