Job summary

Skytree in Amsterdam is seeking a Business Development Intern - Global Markets to gain hands-on experience in the carbon capture sector within a mission-driven tech environment.

This internship develops skills in outbound campaigns, target account research, and commercial messaging while supporting the Commercial team across Direct Air Capture projects. Ideal for climate-tech enthusiasts seeking learning and growth.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in or recently graduated from a university program (Business, Economics, Sustainability, Energy, Engineering, or related).
• Demonstrable passion for climate technology, sustainability, and tackling climate change.
• Strong research and analytical skills with ability to synthesize information into a commercial angle.
• Excellent written and verbal English; ability to write outreach that gets replies; European/Asian languages a plus.
• Comfortable joining calls and approaching people at events; proactive and eager to learn in a fast-paced environment.
• Based in the Netherlands, within commuting distance to Amsterdam.

Responsibilities

• Gain hands-on experience in building and managing target lists across geographies and segments.
• Research target accounts and develop outbound campaigns via email and LinkedIn.
• Write sequences, tailor messaging per segment and market, and follow up.
• Participate in front-end sales activities and document outcomes and next steps.
• Maintain an up-to-date prospect pipeline in CRM with activity and deal stages.
• Assist with company presence at industry conferences and events.
