Job summary

QuantWare is seeking a Facilities Engineer to keep critical cleanroom utilities operating safely and reliably. You will manage HVAC and UPW/chemical supply systems, monitor conditions, and coordinate external contractors to resolve issues quickly.

Ideal candidates have a technical MBO-4 or HBO background, experience with industrial installations, and a strong focus on safety and documentation. This role supports our high‑tech, hybrid work environment in the Netherlands.

Qualifications

• A technical education at MBO-4 or HBO level in a related field.
• Experience with technical installations in industrial/high-tech/cleanroom environments is preferred.
• Knowledge of HVAC and air handling systems is required.
• Experience with utilities such as compressed air, nitrogen or process water is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Monitor, inspect and maintain cleanroom-related installations daily.
• Ensure continuous operation of the air handling/ventilation systems.
• Support and coordinate suppliers and service contractors to keep systems running.
• Contribute to maintenance planning and safety procedures in the cleanroom.

Als Facilities Engineer ben je verantwoordelijk voor het veilig en betrouwbaar draaiende houden van de facilitaire installaties die cruciaal zijn voor onze cleanroomomgeving. Deze omvatten, maar zijn niet beperkt tot, luchtbehandelingssystemen, gaskasten, stikstofgeneratie, perslucht, ultrapuur water (UPW) en chemische toevoersystemen. De nadruk binnen deze rol ligt op het waarborgen van de continuïteit en betrouwbaarheid van kritieke nutsvoorzieningen (utilities). In het bijzonder moeten het ventilatie-/luchtbehandelingssysteem en de UPW-installatie continu operationeel en betrouwbaar blijven. Jouw werk is essentieel bij het opschalen naar steeds complexere systemen en het waarmaken van de belofte van quantum computing.

Wat je gaat doen

• Dagelijks monitoren, inspecteren en onderhouden van cleanroomgerelateerde installaties;
• Zorgen dat het luchtbehandelings-/ventilatiesysteem continu operationeel blijft;
• Monitoren van de cleanroom- en apparatuurcondities, zoals luchtkwaliteit, drukverschillen, temperatuur en luchtvochtigheid, stikstofgeneratie, perslucht en speciale gassystemen;
• Controleren en onderhouden van de ultrapuur water- / UPW-installatie;
• Ondersteunen van chemische toevoersystemen;
• Snel en effectief identificeren, analyseren en oplossen van technische problemen;
• Uitvoeren en coördineren van preventief onderhoud;
• Deelnemen aan storings- en calamiteitenprocedures (emergency response) en het bieden van technische ondersteuning tijdens uitval van nutsvoorzieningen;
• Coördineren van en toezicht houden op externe leveranciers en servicecontractanten.
• Het bijhouden van technische documentatie, onderhoudslogboeken en servicerapporten;
• Het naleven van alle veiligheidsprocedures en cleanroomprotocollen;
• Bijdragen aan verbeteringen op het gebied van betrouwbaarheid, veiligheid en efficiëntie.

Jouw profiel

• Een afgeronde technische opleiding op MBO-4 of HBO-niveau, bijvoorbeeld in de richting van werktuigbouwkunde, elektrotechniek, installatietechniek, procestechnologie of een vergelijkbaar vakgebied;
• Ervaring met technische installaties in een industriële, hightech- of cleanroomomgeving;
• Kennis van HVAC- / luchtbehandelingssystemen;
• Ervaring met nutsvoorzieningen (utilities) zoals perslucht, stikstof, proceswater of ultrapuur water;
• Ervaring met gassystemen of chemische toevoersystemen is een sterke pré;
• Een nauwkeurige, gestructureerde en veiligheidsbewuste manier van werken;
• Sterke probleemoplossende vaardigheden en een groot verantwoordelijkheidsgevoel;
• Bereidheid om te werken volgens strikte cleanroom- en veiligheidsprocedures;
• Goede communicatieve vaardigheden in de samenwerking met collega's, leveranciers en aannemers.

Taaleisen

Voor deze functie is het Nederlands de belangrijkste voertaal op de werkvloer. Daarnaast beheers je de Engelse taal goed en kun je je zelfverzekerd uitdrukken in woord en geschrift. Technische documentatie, communicatie met leveranciers en handleidingen van apparatuur zijn namelijk in het Engelse.
