Job summary

Corlaer College is setting up its own cleaning team for the HAVO/VWO building and seeks 4 FTE to create a spotless school environment. Part-time and full-time options are negotiable (4–40 hours per week). You will work under the team leader and with caretakers, keeping classrooms and facilities clean according to a clear schedule.

Working hours are Monday to Friday, 10:00 AM–8:00 PM, with occasional evening work for events. A friendly, supportive atmosphere awaits in a newly established team.

Qualifications

• You are motivated, reliable, and keen to be part of our school organization.
• You work neatly and have an eye for hygiene and detail.
• You can work independently as well as collaboratively in a team.
• You like to roll up your sleeves and preferably have experience working with cleaning machines (or are willing to learn).
• Good command of either the Dutch or English language.

Responsibilities

• Keep classrooms, hallways, sanitary facilities, and special areas clean.

What you will be doing

This school year, Corlaer College is setting up its own cleaning team. We are starting this initiative in our HAVO/VWO building. In total, we are looking for reinforcement for 4 FTE. Both part-time and full-time positions are negotiable (from 4 to 40 hours per week). Together, you will form the team that ensures a spotless school building.

As a cleaner, you directly contribute to a pleasant, clean, and safe learning and working environment for our students and colleagues. Based on a clear schedule, you will be responsible for keeping classrooms, hallways, sanitary facilities, and special areas clean. You will be using professional equipment.

You will work closely with the team leader and the caretakers/janitors. Does an unexpected situation arise that requires extra attention? You adapt easily and handle it flexibly.

Your working hours are Monday through Friday will be in a range from 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM depending on the schedules, with occasional evening work when events are hosted at the school.

In addition, you will receive:

• A salary in accordance with Scale 2 of the Collective Labor Agreement for Secondary Education (CAO VO: €2,487 to €2,920 gross per month based on full-time employment). Placement depends on age and experience.

• An end-of-year bonus of 8.33%, a holiday allowance of 8%, and an October allowance of €1,640 (based on full-time employment).

• A very generous holiday allowance / annual leave package.

• A one-year contract. Subject to available positions and good performance, there is a possibility of contract extension.
