Job summary

Corlaer College is establishing its own internal cleaning team for the HAVO/VWO building, with 4 FTE positions. Part‑time and full‑time hours are negotiable (from 4 to 40 hours per week).

You will form a team that ensures a spotless school building and support a welcoming learning environment. You will follow a clear schedule to clean classrooms, hallways, and facilities using professional equipment, reporting to the team leader and caretakers.

Qualifications

• Motivated, reliable, and keen to be part of our school organisation.
• Experience with cleaning machines preferred, or willingness to learn.
• Good command of Dutch or English.

Responsibilities

• Clean classrooms, hallways, sanitary facilities, and special areas according to schedule.
• Work with team leader and caretakers/janitors; adapt to unexpected situations.
• Hours: Monday–Friday 10:00–20:00, with occasional evening events.

Are you a hands‑on individual who ensures a fresh and presentable school environment? Do you get energy from working in a dynamic environment with young people and enjoy contributing to a place where everyone feels welcome? Then we are looking for you for our new internal cleaning team!

What you will be doing

This school year, Corlaer College is setting up its own cleaning team. We are starting this initiative in our HAVO/VWO building. In total, we are looking for reinforcement for 4 FTE. Both part‑time and full‑time positions are negotiable (from 4 to 40 hours per week). Together, you will form the team that ensures a spotless school building.

As a cleaner, you directly contribute to a pleasant, clean, and safe learning and working environment for our students and colleagues. Based on a clear schedule, you will be responsible for keeping classrooms, hallways, sanitary facilities, and special areas clean. You will be using professional equipment.

You will work closely with the team leader and the caretakers/janitors. Does an unexpected situation arise that requires extra attention? You adapt easily and handle it flexibly.

Your working hours are Monday through Friday will be in a range from 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM depending on the schedules, with occasional evening work when events are hosted at the school.

Your qualities are

• You are motivated, reliable, and keen to be part of our school organization.
• You work neatly and have an eye for hygiene and detail.
• You can work independently as well as collaboratively in a team.
• You like to roll up your sleeves and preferably have experience working with cleaning machines (or are willing to learn).
• Good command of either the Dutch or English language.

What we offer

In addition, you will receive:

• A salary in accordance with Scale 2 of the Collective Labor Agreement for Secondary Education (CAO VO: €2,487 to €2,920 gross per month based on full‑time employment). Placement depends on age and experience.
• An end‑of‑year bonus of 8.33%, a holiday allowance of 8%, and an October allowance of €1,640 (based on full‑time employment).
• A very generous holiday allowance / annual leave package.
• A one‑year contract. Subject to available positions and good performance, there is a possibility of contract extension.
