Job summary

Robin Radar in the Netherlands seeks a Director of Engineering to lead the operational transformation and scale the largest division. You will co-own the engineering strategy with the CTO, drive annual plan, budgets, and ensure execution, while empowering domain heads across software, hardware, RF, system engineering, and SVVT to deliver world-class 3D 360° radar systems.

Qualifications

• 12+ years in progressive engineering leadership.
• 5+ years in a senior executive role.
• Experience scaling multi-disciplinary teams to 200+ FTEs.
• Co-owns strategy and manages multi-million R&D budgets.
• Strong hardware and software background including RF and AI.
• Expert in Systems Engineering and KPI management.
• Proven recruitment and retention of technical talent.
• Excellent communication with C-level stakeholders.
• Fluent in written and spoken English.
• HQ based in The Hague; travel to field sites possible.

Responsibilities

• Execute the annual Engineering Business Plan and budget governance.
• Co-own the technology roadmap with the CTO and scale to 200+ FTEs.
• Direct heads of Software, Hardware, RF, System Engineering, and SVVT.
• Oversee multi-disciplinary programs across hardware and software.
• Partner with Talent Acquisition to recruit large technical teams.
• Report division health and milestones to the Board with EU partners.
