Our client is a deep-tech startup building equipment for semiconductor manufacturing, operating at the intersection of plasma physics, vacuum engineering, and advanced materials.
The company is scaling from a working proof-of-concept to a fab-ready system out of the R&D lab in Eindhoven.
The role
- You will be responsible for the full electrical architecture of our deposition platform. Plasma and high-voltage electronics sit at the core of the role: the power and drive electronics that run the plasma source, and everything that connects them to the rest of the system.
- You work peer-to-peer with System Architects, Senior Mechanical Engineers, and source & plasma engineers. You answer for the electrical system as a whole.
What you will do
- Own the electrical architecture of the system: power distribution, source power, drive electronics, and the interfaces to mechanics, controls, and software
- Design and develop high-voltage electronics for our plasma source
- Define the power supply strategy, from tailored supplier units to in-house development
- Design for stability, safety, and EMC in a high-voltage plasma environment
- Bring electrical subsystems from prototype to a serviceable, fab-ready design
What we are looking for
- MSc in electrical engineering, power electronics, or a related field
- 10+ years in electrical or power electronics engineering
- Hands-on experience with high-voltage electronics for plasma systems. A must.
- Proven ownership of an electrical system architecture on real hardware
- High agency and self-starting. You define the function and build it.
Nice to have
- Experience with ion sources, Hall thrusters, or other plasma sources
- SEMI S2 and S22 compliance
The offer
- A lead role in a company solving one of the hardest problems in semiconductor manufacturing
- Full ownership of the electrical architecture, from lab to fab
- Base salary from €115,000 gross per year
- A small, expert team where your work is visible and consequential
- Meaningful equity participation
- A workspace on High Tech Campus Eindhoven, with relocation support available
