Job summary

Texterous is seeking a Chief AI Officer to translate business needs into practical, safe AI across the Netherlands and wider Benelux. You will ship prototypes, present AI roadmaps, and lead client AI transformations from the inside.

Qualifications

• Technical background or affinity with AI, engineering, software development and/or consultancy.
• Comfort communicating in Dutch and English; German is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Translate business challenges into concrete AI use cases, prioritised by impact and feasibility.
• Build prototypes, proofs of concept and working AI solutions with a team.
• Create AI roadmaps and implementation plans and ensure client landing.
• Deliver workshops, training and presentations on AI and responsible AI use.
• Act as the primary AI point of contact from leadership to development teams.
• Help build Texterous service offerings, playbooks and frameworks.

Job description

Companies now know they need to do something with AI. They just don't know what, how, or where to start. That's where you come in.

At Texterous we turn AI strategy into working solutions, not slides that gather dust. As Chief AI Officer, you're the face to our clients in the Netherlands and the wider Benelux: you translate business needs into practical, safe AI that people actually use. One week you're shipping a working prototype, the next you're in front of a client's board explaining their AI roadmap.

You'll be embedded, sometimes temporarily, sometimes per project, with client organizations, leading their AI transformation from the inside.

What you should like to do

• Translate business challenges into concrete, achievable AI use cases, prioritized on impact, feasibility and risk.
• Build prototypes, proofs of concept and working solutions with modern AI tooling, together with a team.
• Create AI roadmaps and implementation plans, and make sure they actually land with clients.
• Deliver workshops, training and presentations on AI and responsible AI use.
• Act as the primary AI point of contact, from leadership to development team.
• Help build our own service offering, playbooks and frameworks.

What type of person is a Chief AI Officer?

• You have a technical background or demonstrable affinity with AI, engineering, software development and/or consultancy. You don't need to be a deep-tech specialist, but you do need to genuinely understand the subject.
• You communicate and present confidently in Dutch and English, German is a big plus!
• You're entrepreneurial and enjoy the social side of the job just as much as the technical side.
• You like working in a scale-up environment.
• You're able to build client trust and make complex tech clear to non-technical people.
