Renaissance Amsterdam Hotel is seeking a Chef de Partie - Pastry to join our bakery team in Amsterdam. You will work with the Head Baker to create pastries and cakes that meet our brand's high standards and contribute to an exceptional guest experience.

Responsibilities include preparing pastries, assisting with sourdough and viennoiserie, and maintaining hygiene in a fast-paced hotel kitchen. You will grow skills through training and collaboration with a professional team.

What are my responsibilities?

As a Chef de Partie- Pastry, you will work closely with the Head Baker to create pastries and cakes that live up to our brand’s high standards. Your daily tasks include:

• Preparing, shaping, and baking pastries and cakes following established recipes and standards.
• Assisting with sourdough starters, viennoiserie and other artisanal techniques.
• Ensuring consistency in taste, texture, and presentation of all baked products.
• Maintaining a clean and safe working environment in line with hygiene and food safety standards.
• Working collaboratively with the team to meet production schedules and guest demand.
• Taking part in training sessions and applying new skills to continuously improve.

What are we looking for?

To be successful in this role, you bring passion for baking and a commitment to quality. You:

• Have proven experience as a Baker, Pastry Cook or in a similar role within a bakery, hotel, or restaurant.
• Possess practical knowledge of dough preparation, proofing, shaping, and finishing techniques.
• Have experience with pastries, or viennoiserie (sourdough knowledge is a plus).
• Work well in a team, taking guidance from the Head Baker and supporting your colleagues.
• Are eager to learn and develop your craft through training and feedback.
• Are flexible in working different days.
• Eligible to work in the Netherland.
