Job summary

Swissôtel is seeking a Chef de Partie to join Royal98, its concept restaurant in the heart of Amsterdam. This full-time role requires weekend and some evenings. You will manage a specific kitchen section, prepare and present dishes, and ensure proper ingredient storage and waste control.

You’ll maintain high hygiene standards, work under busy service, and collaborate with the Head Chef and Sous Chef on menu planning and recipe development as needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2–3 years of experience as a Chef de Partie or in a similar role.
• Experience in high-end restaurants is preferred.
• Fluency in English; Dutch is a plus.
• Knowledge of Mediterranean or Italian cuisine is advantageous.
• Strong culinary techniques and food preparation skills.
• Thorough understanding of food safety and hygiene standards.
• Experience operating professional kitchen equipment.

Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee a specific section of the kitchen.
• Prepare, cook and present dishes according to Royal98 standards.
• Manage ingredient storage and rotation to minimize waste.
• Maintain a clean and organized kitchen in line with food safety standards.
