Job summary

Enstall Europe is seeking a Certification Engineer to guide European certification and testing for solar mounting systems. Based in Deventer, you will interpret standards, coordinate with test labs, and work with engineers across Europe to ensure compliant product development.

You will monitor evolving European regulations and industry guidelines, representing Enstall in standards committees while driving timely project delivery and high-quality certification outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Structural Engineering.
• Experience in a similar certification/testing role is preferred.
• Knowledge of certification processes and/or mechanical testing is a plus.
• Proficiency in Dutch and English due to international scope; German/French a plus.

Responsibilities

• Initiate and guide certification and test processes for mounting systems across European countries.
• Own projects from initiation to delivery with timely, results-driven outcomes.
• Monitor developments in applicable European standards, laws and regulations and translate them into action for Enstall.
• Interpret market questions about certification and classification of rooftop solar systems with respect to standards.
• Represent Enstall in relevant standards committees, working groups, and industry bodies.
• Support EU solar market development via networking and stakeholder management.
• Manage certification processes within Enstall's quality management system; collaborate with engineers, test sites and notified bodies.

Your role

The Research, Testing & Certification team is the knowledge hub of Enstall’s solar mounting systems in Europe. As a Certification Engineer, you will guide certification processes for our solar panel mounting systems, interpret standards, and play a key role in communication with external test labs across Europe.

Tasks and responsibilities:

• Initiate and guide certification & test processes for existing and new mounting systems in various European countries
• Take full ownership of assigned projects, ensuring timely and results-driven delivery
• Monitor developments in relevant standards, laws and regulation in Europe and translate them into actions for Enstall
• Interpret and respond to market questions about certification and classification of rooftop solar systems in relation to (inter)national standards
• Enstall representation in relevant standards committees, working groups, and industry organizations
• Supporting the professionalization of the EU solar market via networking and stakeholder management
• Certification: managing processes within Enstall's quality management system
• You work closely with engineers, test sites and notified bodies, translating complex standards into clear, applicable advice (e.g. in new product development projects)

You’re part of the Research, Testing & Certification team. You report to the department manager. This position is based in Deventer and is for 32-40 hours per week. Hybrid working is possible (maximum 2 days based on full-time employment).

What you are

• Bachelor degree preferably in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Structural Engineering
• Experience in a similar role and/or eager to broaden your expertise
• Experience with certification and/or (mechanical) testing processes is a plus
• Proficiency in Dutch and English due to our international nature. Knowledge of German and/or French is a plus
