Job summary

Stichting Zeilschip Eendracht in Rotterdam seeks an experienced captain to helm our three-masted schooner, ensuring safety, navigation, and guest satisfaction.

You will lead a diverse crew, coordinate with deck and technical teams, and deliver a memorable sailing experience for our guests.

Qualifications

• Holder of a ‘Master All Ships’ or ‘Master 3000GT’ certificate.
• Proven experience as a captain on seagoing sailing vessels.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Knowledge of international maritime laws and regulations.
• Ability to work under pressure and make quick decisions.

Responsibilities

We are looking for an experienced and passionate captain to join our team and take the helm of our magnificent three-masted schooner. As captain, you are responsible for the safe and professional navigation of the ship, leading the crew, and creating an unforgettable experience for our guests.

Job Description

Navigation and Safety:
As captain, you are responsible for the safe navigation of the vessel, meteorology, and safety protocols. Maintaining the highest standards of safety is a top priority.
Leadership:
You lead the crew and foster a positive, collaborative working environment. Working closely with deck and technical staff is essential to ensure smooth operations on board.
Guest Experience:
You are responsible for providing an unforgettable experience for our guests. Through hospitality and professionalism, you ensure that passengers enjoy a unique and enjoyable sailing adventure.
