Damen Naval B.V. is seeking a Functional Application Specialist to support our Cadmatic Hull platform across the product lifecycle.

You will translate engineering needs into functional specs, analyze issues with stakeholders, and implement system-driven improvements for efficient CAD/PLM workflows. The role requires collaboration across Vlissingen and Schiedam sites, English fluency, and a proactive approach to training and user support.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree or proven competence in engineering, preferably shipbuilding.
• Proficiency with Cadmatic platform.
• Knowledge of PLM principles and functional application management is preferred.
• Excellent command of English; Dutch proficiency is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Translate engineering business needs into functional specifications for application developments.
• Analyze issues with stakeholders and devise solutions.
• Develop and implement application processes and functionalities.
• Maintain relationships with suppliers and knowledge partners.
• Manage interfaces between applications and Cadmatic Hull.
• Setup and configure project environments within Cadmatic Hull.
• Organize application-related training with the Manager Engineering Support.
• Provide functional support to PLM/CAD users for Cadmatic Hull.
• Prepare Cadmatic training materials, tips, and user manuals.
